Jamilah Began her fitness career in 1997 with a BCRPA fitness instructor, and earned experience in a number of areas ranging from group fitness, and personal training. She has taught Group Fitness, Yoga & Pilates, in India and Indonesia.
In 2007 Jamilah completed her STOTT PILATES™ training in Matwork, Reformer, Chair, Barrel & Cadillac at West Coast Pilates in Vancouver.
In 2014, then continued her training by completing a course in Injuries & Special Population, at Pacific North West Pilates, Portland.
Jamilah is a Yoga RYT 200, Anusara Inspired Yoga Instructor, Trained by master teacher Chris Chavez at YYoga, Vancouver.
Founder and instructor of Salute Pilates & Yoga Studio in Surrey, she also teaches at and various corporations in Burnaby, Vancouver. She has passion for working with each client to bring awareness of the body through alignment, and challenges them on their own physicality, towards achieving their personal health and fitness goal. Jamilah regularly updates her training with relevant workshops in Yoga and Pilates to maintain her variety in technique and will continue to do to provide her clients with the best fitness experience.
Anahita is a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT-200. She has completed her STOTT PILATES™ training in Beginner and Intermediate Level Matwork and Reformer.
With a focus on alignment and inspiration, Anahita’s classes bring integrity and delight into your practice so you can integrate the practice you have in class and carry it through your everyday life.
It has been a great honour for her to study under Rebekka Walker and Shelley Tomczyk, as well as others in the Vancouver yoga community who continue to inspire and promote growth in her yoga practice.
Her classes sequence through traditional Hatha postures to create a well rounded Asana. With sun salutations, standing balances, inversions and twists, she focuses on a new way to work the body every week.
